The Art of Storytelling – Why It’s Essential for Our Children

As children, for most of us, our fondest memories of our grandparents is when they told us stories. Listening to stories that have been passed on for generations, in your mother tongue as you lie next to your grandparents is a feeling that’s indescribably nostalgic.

As more of us move away from a joint family setup to a nuclear family, parents aren’t able to dedicate as much time as they would have liked doing activities with their children. One of the first things to fall by the wayside is the bedtime story. By the time parents are done chasing behind their little ones to finish their homework, finish dinner and brush their teeth, there’s very little time or energy left in the parent to cater to the demands of ‘one last story’.
